Ethical Photography Festival | Lodi, September 26 – October 25, 2026

In Lodi, the world is told through the lenses of leading photojournalists

The Ethical Photography Festival returns to Lodi for its seventeenth edition. Once again, the city becomes an international meeting point for photojournalism and documentary photography. From September 26 to October 25, 2026, visitors can explore more than 20 exhibitions devoted to major human, social and environmental issues. Through stories, faces and personal testimonies, the images capture the transformations shaping our time. One of the most eagerly awaited events is the touring exhibition of World Press Photo 2026, which will make Lodi the only stop in Lombardy on its international tour. Almost 150 images from all five continents will be on display, featuring reports on conflicts, crises, traditions and forms of resistance.

Alongside the winners of the prestigious international competition, the Festival brings together more than 80 photographers and offers numerous opportunities for deeper engagement. The programme includes meetings, guided tours, artist talks, book presentations, portfolio reviews and educational activities.
Founded in 2010 to raise public awareness of social issues through photography, the Festival also gives a voice to stories that are often overlooked. In doing so, it invites visitors to look beyond the headlines and gain a closer understanding of the realities documented by photojournalists. Furthermore, this edition introduces new exhibition venues and more affordable ticket prices, making the Festival accessible to an even wider audience, including families. Photography thus becomes a tool for knowledge and dialogue, bringing distant realities closer and helping audiences understand global challenges through individual and collective experiences.
