Inside Art: at Palazzo Reale Milan, beauty revealed
At Palazzo Reale in Milan, Art from Inside invites visitors to experience art in a new and surprising way. From October 9, 2025 to January 6, 2026, this free exhibition explores how science reveals what lies beneath the surface of great works of art. Through advanced imaging techniques, nine masterpieces from the 15th to 18th centuries, including Beato Angelico, Piero della Francesca, Caravaggio, and Giovanna Garzoni, show their hidden layers, secrets, and creative processes.
The exhibition combines art, research, and innovation, offering a unique dialogue between creativity and technology. Visitors can discover how art is studied, restored, and protected through modern diagnostic imaging. Each artwork tells a story not only of beauty but also of science, a story of observation, discovery, and understanding.
Created by Fondazione Bracco with scientific consultancy from Isabella Castiglioni and Stefano Zuffi, Art from Inside transforms Palazzo Reale into a living laboratory of art and science. It is a journey into the invisible, where technology unveils what the human eye cannot see, allowing every visitor to connect more deeply with the art and the mind of the artist.
