Alberto Rodríguez Serrano explores new visual languages through an innovative approach
Alberto Rodríguez Serrano exhibits for the first time in Italy. The show takes place at the Fortuny Museum in Venice. This venue has strong ties to his homeland, Spain. The exhibition includes key works from recent years. Some use classical techniques and appear in a traditional style. Others feature luminescent pigments. These pigments are both phosphorescent and fluorescent. They give the works emotional depth and rich texture. This effect surpasses anything similar seen before.
The artist performs special shows to complete the experience. Light and shadow play over the canvases. Visitors enjoy an intense, immersive sensory event.
Three sections organize the exhibition. Each focuses on a main theme in Serrano’s work. The first explores bulls as symbols of strength. The artist says, “Bulls are animals rooted in the deepest history of the Spanish land—my land.” The second section highlights landscapes. Natural scenes show resilience, hope, beauty, and emotional balance. Venice landscapes reveal the city’s visible grandeur and hidden soul. The final section, Aurum, features landscapes made with 22-carat gold leaf.
